Learning and Living Ministry

  • Develops and promotes Christian Learning and Living educational experiences and activities (e.g., Vacation Bible School, Christmas play, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.)
  • Provides teaching resources, workshops, and educational materials consistent with the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions
  • Develops and publishes a quarterly Learning and Living Course Catalogue
  • Makes available church pamphlets, periodicals, and books for use in church and members’ homes
  • Oversees and coordinates FaithWeavers™, a mid-week inter-active faith-based program for children released early from Newport News schools
  • Recruits and trains teachersLearning and Living Ministry
  • Recruits, interviews and recommends a candidate for Nursery Attendant (s) to the Personnel Ministry
